Today was a great day! We went to the Zoo and had lots of Pizza, my favorite. I am a woman of simple pleasures. I had some PF Chang's on my own to celebrate my birthday because Matt hates Chinese food but it wasn't as good as I remember. I hate when that happens. I pay money for something that wasn't good. Really, I just want my free Cafe Rio meal. No good Mexican around here.
I also had many visits from cute friends! And surprises left on my porch! We are really sad about moving wards. Mainly of leaving cute friends! We also have a "grandma" here for Joshua and he will be so sad because now he has to sit with us during sacrament. He really does love Grandma Fredline!
I feel so loved from cute text messages from friends and gifts from my husband, gift cards, clothes, and oh, yeah, a HOUSE! Wahoo! Pictures to come once we close, move-in, and finally get settled.
Matt and I will now have moved 12 times since we were married. Three of those have been in TN! Three states, 12 moves, and we are finally planning on putting down some roots! This community we are moving to feels like home and we instantly loved it! I am so grateful for everything and for fabulous friends who are so kind and who I definitely don't want to leave. Maybe they can just move with me? Any takers?

"You will experience great joy in life as you eradicate adult-onset pessimism and substitute childlike optimism."
-Elder Perkins
Here is to a new year of being more optimistic and more like my amazing children. They teach me everyday about how to be better.

Fun when Stress was abundant...
We have been trying to buy a home! I know, really big step for us. It's a long story but it has been full of lots of stress. And what added to it was the fact that our current landlord decided to put the home we live in for sale the moment we told him we wouldn't be renewing our contract with him. So we had to make sure the house was perfect for photos and for Realtor visits. We've had 3 visits in a week. Our house isn't dirty it's just full of clutter, seeing I have two small children. And of course they give us like an hour, if that, of a notice.
And I seem to be salsa for mosquitos here in TN because I get a few new bites every day. Even if I don't go outside, just taking out the garbage or running errands. I think I just need to marinate myself in DEET to keep them off during these months. I think Matt's had two and Joshua has had one. I hate itching and have started stalking up on Benadryl and hydro-cortizone cream. Great stuff!
But this morning when I was working out my boys decided they needed to join in. They usually join in when I do yoga but this time was hilarious! They insisted on laying down and doing crunches with me. We laughed so hard! Then we danced to some angry girl music, as Matt would call it, and all was well again.
Being a mother is sometimes insurmountable, but sometimes it really just make me smile and helps me realize how grateful I am to have these little munchkins. I love these boys!
